Hi LBF, I'm Dan and I'm new here. I plan on using the forum frequently but the reason I'm here today is for some help. We purchased the game last night and we can't seem to figure this out. Our screen while playing has a black box around the edge. I'd say it's about an inch thick on all sides of my TV screen.

Many other games offer a stretching option in the display settings, but I can't find such a feature. Is anybody else experiencing this problem?

It's important to note that the opening sequence to LBP3 plays in full screen without any black bars. Same goes for a few title images at the beginning.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I'm using the PS4 version of LBP3.

Maybe you should try resizing screen in Settings in Options Menu? I don't have LBP 3 yet and I'll be getting for PS3, so I'm not exactly sure how to help you

Thanks for trying. The problem is the settings don't offer any option to resize the screen.

The option to adjust your screen size and brightness is just before the first time you import your profile and stuff. You could delete your LBP3 profile and restart the game.

@Ayneh So basically starting 100% fresh? We actually tried that by creating a new PS4 profile and turning on the game as if we were new users. We were greeted with the option to adjust the Gamma, and then it threw us into the game. Another friend had already suggested this which is why we tried. I find it odd that both myself and my girlfriend missed the screen setup option upon loading the game for the first time. I've been searching for a fix to this problem all afternoon but nobody else seems to complain about it. Either we're both missing something super obvious, or I'm just one of the VERY few people who is having this issue. I can't be the only one though.

I can't imagine why the size adjustment screen isn't coming up when you get the gamma screen fine. Normally one follows the other. This only makes the problem more interesting.

I don't own a PS4 but you could check the display settings on the console to make sure it doesn't have automatic scaling enabled or anything. Maybe LBP3 consults the system settings and is (incorrectly) determining you don't need to adjust the screen size.

The only other thing I can think of is to reinstall without the zero day patch. Perhaps the patch introduced a new bug that affects your configuration. On PS3 patches and other game data are in the Game Data Utility directory. For PS4 you may need to disable automatic patching if it's enabled or just disconnect from the internet.

Hello, I too have this same issue.

I preloaded the digital version and have the latest update installed. There is absolutely no method of changing the screen size in the settings menu (only gamma).

This does not happen with any other game, console, app or just regular TV. It's likely something with the game and/or a console setting if I had to guess.

If someone figures out a fix, it would be greatly appreciated!

I have it on PS3 and in this one you can press Start-->Display-->Screen Size. Might be different for PS4 though

Well I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with this issue. Perhaps the PS4 version is missing the setting. In which case I'll be waiting for a patch. I just don't think re-installing is the answer although I do appreciate the suggestions. I'll be taking another look at my PS4 video settings tonight. I also emailed LBP so maybe they'll respond soon.

At the end of the day though, I think they need to push out a patch. If anyone else is having this problem, please speak up. Things like this will get fixed faster if more people voice their concerns.

What's the email for LBP that you sent to? I'm having several other issues with the PS3 version, and I would like to notify them of the issues so they can patch it.

PS4 Settings > Sound and screen > Adjust display size

I've seen people elsewhere saying this works, so I guess this is what PS4 players have to do for now.
