What would you like to see as the rating system on LBP3?
Would you like it the same as LBP2? Would you like the option to boo levels again? Would you like the good old LBP1 star rating? Or would you want a completely new system? Let me know in the comments! |

the boo button encouraged bullying. There are a lot of mean little sacks out there that like to cause nothing but problems. The current system is just fine. like or heart if you like or nothing at all.

I think that the actual system is fine. But it has a HUGE problem.
The yay. I don't think everyone really know what this buttom is used for. I needed a couple of months when I began LBP to understand what it was. The heart is very easy to understand. But a happy face. That when pressed has yellow all around. Need something meaningful. |

I feel that the current system is good in LBP2 however it's sometimes hard to tell if a level is worth playing until you try it out yourself. Reason why I liked having the boo option but supposely it created bullying in the community.. Ok? People booed your level, learn from it and build something even more awesome! Just my personal opinion.

There are several groups out there that took every criticism as a personal attack. Instead of taking the information and growing from it, they got all of the their friends to play every single one of your levels just to boo them, boo down all comments and spam hate all over your wall. I had to stop playing community levels because I was tired of being pushed around for saying something like "Nice try, keep at it".
Or the H4Her's doing the same thing when you didn't heart them back. Facebook removed the thumbs down button for the exact same reason. Some sacks are just plain spiteful because another creator can create something they can't. The Boo button was just a brick at which they could throw. It had nothing to do with how good a level was. Now it's better, you either like it or you don't. You don't see everybody seeking answers and commenting players like they did when they got a boo. The Boo button, plan and simple is flawed logic in the hands of 5-16 year old children. The creators are mostly adults 18+ years old (I'm 37) and the players are spotlight crews and kids. I have never thought of this game as a child's game because the logic is so far advanced, "most" children cannot comprehend how to use it. |

I think the rating is dull on lbp2, since the meaning of the boo button has nvr been used useful, everyone trys to get the top review for no reason, well maybe a pin. I want that they remove the boo button, like on psvita and a short tutorial how to rate a lvl, cz most people dont understand the meaning of hearting a lvl or rate it. Thats really sad And I want that when ever you delete your old review or comment it doesnt show that you deleted it. Thats dumb...

I would like to see a whole new rating system, but make it confusing as all get out. So like you get done playing a level and instead of a happy or frown face, there is an elephant face, a bottle of water and say a coffee table. When you click on one it makes the sound of it. Not cheering or boos just an elephant sound, pouring water and a wood knock. You'll have no idea what the heck it means.

Like Biorogue, I think they should implement an entirely new and original vote system!

I'd like to see a "nice level +1" button.

I really like the LBP1 rating system. Most people should understand what it means as soon as they see it. And you would have a better idea of how good a level is - according to the community - before checking it out yourself.

I liked the lbp1 system. I would like to see that or a completely new system. Maybe if you leave a low star (1 or2) you have to explain why? Idk I think that would stop people from spamming negative scores because if you don't have a reason you look like an idiot, and if you do then it would just be helpful feedback.

It was removed in 2008. I remember it. |

thats true facebook had them once.
and I liked the star system a lot and I must admit i liked the yay and boo the most because it was a good way to see an empty level wihtout opening it. sadly people ruined it. and it was not fair to young people who thought their level is great and get boos all the time making them sad. thats true. so back to the stars? i would say no. for the same reason. giving 1 star is the same as a boo in my eyes. a new system would be the best. but finding one will be the biggest problem... my first idea was a reddit like system, so you can move a level up and down in a list as the rating goes (so for example people choose which is the best level from this creator, not from lists mixed with other levels from other creators) but that isnt a system after all to reach what we need... my final is that what we have right now with the yay and heart only is the best system. can't rlly think about a better one. eighter you like or love. nothing at all does not mean you hate it. nothing negative and a good system after all. |

I want the rating system to be a highly detailed breakdown, rate from 0-100 in categorical format and then allow a statistics page that shows how many voted how on each category.
Or even if they just did the yay system, but where you can yay the visuals but not the gameplay, something to further organize and set apart levels. |
