Hello Everyone!

On Monday we will be rolling out a brand new feature with Game Update 1.13 - Recommended For You!

What is Recommended For You?

It's a brand new Community menu category that will generate a personalised list of level recommendations based on your Hearted Players activities.

So if one of your Hearted Players hearts a level or even publishes their very own level; you may see it pop up in your Recommended For You level recommendations.

If more than one of your Hearted Players hearts the same level; then you could very well see that level jump up to the top of your Recommended For You recommendations... Just asking for you to play it!

We're really looking forward to bringing this new feature to you on Monday because it really helps address one of the most commonly raised issues within the community of being able to find levels that match your personalised tastes!

A small number of community members have already had some hands-on time with this new feature and since this is a very personalised new feature, you may see some of them popping in here to share their personal experiences with Recommended For You so far.

But when it's all new now and works better than in the beta, I'm very happy about it...

It's something we've been working on for a while but it wasn't in the beta.

Know that for a fact because we were still designing exactly how the feature would work just a few months ago.

It's really an awesome feature! I was lucky to beta test it a few weeks ago and all I can say that it is pure awesomesauce Try to heart the levels you really enjoy and the "Recommended for you" list will get filled with better fitting levels everytime enjoy!

The way this seems to work reminds me of the recent activity list. Will there be anything that somehow makes this "better"? I'm not just trying to be skeptical. It just seems similar.

You guys are going to absolutely LOVE this new feature. I was skeptical at first, thinking, meh, it's just going to bring more bomb/shark/FNAF/Slenderman/KJB levels to me. Oh how wonderfully wrong I was! As one who scours LBP.me every. single. day. looking for good levels to play...and finding few, I can say with certainty that this Recommended To You feature is one of the answers we've been looking for. It brought the levels right to ME! There was no looking through page after page of new levels on LBP.me trying to find that one gem, no, I just opened the game and scrolled over to the new category and Ba-Bam! Good levels, right there! Brilliant!

The "Recommended For You" feature and how it is being used is quite useless. No offense, I am sure it is useful in some ways. It just seems like it is the "Recent Activity" feature applied in a different way. Half the levels my hearted lists play or heart aren't appealing to me. I feel this new feature falls short of recommending levels for "me."
If it is recommending levels for me it should be based off my activity, not others.

Finally I can find those hidden gems in-game as well rather than go searching on LBP.me... xD

Recommended For You is now live!

Don't forget to Heart any Players that you would be interested in receiving level recommendations from and let's not forget that you can also return the favour to the community by Hearting any levels that you want to recommend to the players that have Hearted you!

There's definitely a lot of love to spread around the community for players and levels in this new feature!

"Recommended for you" works fine...

BUT:

When you remove/add a feature to LittleBigPlanet (like the yays), normaly you should have a list of pros and cons...
Yaying has so many pros, what was the reason for you to remove the yays, what was the disadvantage of yays, to remove them? Tell us...

For me, I heart a level, when I want to play it again, my hearted level list means best of the best... And I yay(ed) a level, when I saw the creator invested time in the level, just to say, keep it up (even when I didn't enjoy)... That's a big difference...

And you fixed the wildernes song? Best joke ever... (and I imported LBP1 things again)
Same like in beta, it doesn't play... one year and 13 updates and you couldn't fix it... shame on you...

We decided to shift the focus a little more towards Hearts than Yays because the community do generally have a divided opinion on them and we wanted to simplify the process so that everyone in the community is on the same page.

If you play a level and you think you would like to play it again or would like to recommend it to others, then you can heart it to help spread it around.

If you want to crate a list of the "best of the best" levels, you have the option of creating playlists containing a selection of levels that you consider are worth storing in a list.

This list can be more easily organised, re-named and is generally more powerful than your Hearted list that is just in descending order of most recently hearted.

We realise that the change can be a little scary but this is something we have been considering for a while and we have some more upcoming changes that will help support these changes.

In the long run, we think these changes will really help folks to help discover and organise content to their liking.

i think this'll be mostly good.. people interested in original created content wont really be hearting accounts with a bunch of copied levels.. and the people that do enjoy a lot of these copied levels can play those.

Oooh, new feature. Diving in and this should be fun. Meet new players and play them quality levels.

Still like to be able to listen to the "Battle on the Ice" song from the Wilderness. Bring back memories of the ol' days.
