Before you answer, I don't mean 3D gates.

What I want to know how to make, is those 3D opening and closing doors, specifically the ones from the 'Back to the Future' Level Kit.

That's basically it.. Anybody know how to do it?

You can either use the rotating discs on which you place doorlike decorations,
or use many sticker ramps for the opening sequence.
The more ramps you use, the more fluid it will look like.
I dont like discs to much since they are buggy while rotating and held with popit.
Usually people use single ramp for fully opened door.
Either way it will need some knowledge with logics.
I think that the easyer way would be with ramps.
There you can use sequencer for the opening movement.

I think there should be a 2D-mapping solution made by steve_big_guns.
Since i dont like using 2D-mapping, i didnt care to much about it.

Maybe there is a way to trigger the animation of the level gates without to port to another level.
that would be a comfy way to make a door if you dont care about thermo.

I personally would use a simple version. A closed door and a opened door with a 2 gate logicpeace. It was used back in LBP2.
