I am sorry for not being very active like I used to be in LBP, but you know... Life. :/

Key words for what I have to say here:
Original songs, exclusive to my project, joining in my project as the music creator basically.

As the title says, I need a musician.
I don't only need one song, but LOTS of them.

Do you remember my Acid Rooms level series from LBP2? I want something like that. I start creating a level, I ask you a song and tell you the theme so that you can make a fitting song. Radio_Statik created Acid Rooms original soundtrack.
It is not that I will ask you to create songs like crazy, but I will ask for songs for the levels I have done and the ones I am currently working.
I will need those for my new project: Deathwish.
The whole level series contains:
-An Intro
-Menu/HUB
-3 Levels
-4 Bosses
-An Ending

I finally finished the first level, and let me tell you... I got impressed with my skills.
I originally had Radio_Statik joining me into the project, but he disappeared. I can't contact him.

I am looking for someone who can create songs based on what I ask the song to look like... In other words, I will probably send the person a link to a song (or more) to inspire on creating the track.
"But what does the musician get in return?"
Well... Credits!

The whole original soundtrack will be playable via the menu level, your ID with a customised icon will be credited in the beggining of the Introduction and credits in the description.

"Do you know a possible number of songs you'll need?"
The answer is no. I will need one orignial song for each level, but I may ask for more if I need.

If you are not a musician and if you know someone who can join me please let me know.
ALSO, if you have a music gallery post the lbp.me link here so that I can play it and see your skills and tell you if your style fits Deathwish's.

YES! Check out Donkey Kong Country 2 songs as examples (Forest Interlude and Stickerbrush Simphony), Nightwish songs, Crash Bandicoot and more...

You could listen to some of my songs on my youtube channel under my account name, but I'm afraid that you're looking for some other style of music, ...Nightwish songs are definitely not my style of music.

hey again. i saw this over at LBN. i'm sure there'll be someone around that's willing to maybe do this. i'm surprised there hasn't been a few more responces. anywho, good luck finding someone that want's to work on this. sounds like a big project.

Better be the nicest looking credit icon in existence. Finding a musician to invest that much effort and time just for accreditation is very unlikely.

Why so pessimistic? There are musicians in LBP, which love to do music, but which need endless time to build an own level (ehm, ...I know at least one musician of that kind...,ehm! ), so such a soundtrack for a bigger project is a fantastic chance to do what a musician loves to do, without having to invest a lot of time in level creating!
Look, I have about 25 still unpublished songs on my moon, they are lying there for more than two years now, and I think that many other musicians also have a lot of songs on their moons which are waiting to be offered to the community!
So CRASHER360, I believe that soon you will find a musician who can do music the way that you like it! At least this is LBForum with LBF Music!!!!!!

Well, my friend, I made a thread looking for a music creator that would join me in my project, not one that would create a song and be paid for doing so. I myself won't get payment back from all of the hard work I am having whilst creating this level series, trust me...
This project is made of 10 levels. I don't have much time to have fun and the short periods of spare time I get I try my best at creating a level that does not last more than 4 minutes.
Creating in LBP is meant to be fun and helping others is part of it.
I was joking about the "What do I get from helping you out?" part. OF COURSE the music creator will be credited in every fancy way I can credit them. Other stuff the person can get is my friendship and I can also help out the music creator in something they need (bug testing, character creating, logic problems, a profile picture and even have me advertising your levels to friends). I am not the most available creator out there, but if I have the time and I can accomplish what you are needing, sure I can help.
An example of this is my friend's Batman level series... I am not the best english speaker out there, my brazilian accent appears in every corner of my voice, but whenever he asks me to do a voice acting I gladdy help him out, because I accepet joining his project.
BunnyBia is doing the voice actings for the main character of my level series, and she gladdly accepted my request.
EVEN IF I can't help as much as the musician can help me, I will be supporting him/her.

And a level without a song it is just a normal level. Custom songs raises the quality of a level, and they usually make up for 50% of a level.

I can explain you how I want the songs to look like(for the Nightwish mention, I was not refering to the heavy metal-ish part, rather, the opera and orchestral parts) and if you get interested I "hire" you.
Listen to Forest Interlude... That's a style of song I will need for my series.

Lol, I wasn't trying to come off as pessimistic in any manner, my apologies if I did. I just meant that it seemed like Crasher was looking for a very specific set of songs, that of which mirror his level (preferably if they matched songs in which he would suggest as a basis to work off of). Finding a musician to consistently commit to that could prove to be difficult. That's all that I was suggesting, as it seemed he wanted fairly fresh work. Thus, I made the comment about credit; it's nice, but not really all that important, and as Crasher has said, it should be about fun, in which I wholeheartedly agree. However, whoever he is looking for may not share that opinion, but it seems I've already been proven wrong by the enthusiasm of the community xD Glad you're already gaining interest from other, Crasher. Anyways, sorry for coming off as rude, it was not my intention to do so

I checked out some of the songs. You have some cool original songs there.
The only problem is that they wouldn't fit Deathwish because of the retro-like style.

I am not willing to have songs that were already used in other levels, I just want a music creator to actually create a song based on what I want the song to look like, for example:
A song that is serene, but serious, sometimes have some sad/dark tunes in it.

Even though Deathwish has my cartoony style with Sticker Panels, it is a bit "dark" sometimes, kind of "depressing" may I add. So I think that serene, dark or heart pumping songs would fit Deathwish.

Wait where did my post go?!? I posted here earlier but it just disappeared. Well i have been making music now for about 4 years. I mostly do epic orchestral or calm ambient music, but i can really do almost anything. Expect happy music. Im not good at that :/ dont have any galleries currently but soon going to puplish a level with my music.

hmm... i'm not sure why your post disappeared.. I remember reading it and replying to it specifically as well.. might just be a bug.. i'll make sure that the people working on the site are aware of this. it still has a few little bugs to work out.

I was thinking, maybe if I don't find a music creator that is not willing to create so many songs I can ask some of you guys to do some songs.
Example: Creator A makes the song for level 2 and boss 2, Creator B makes the song for the level 3 and boss 3.

you know, people playing on separate systems can actually still work together. I did a custom track for R-V-2-0-1-3's Firefly Ruins level without even seeing it. but he would send me pictures of the level and give me feedback on my song as I would show him samples from it. I set up a lockbox level where he could enter a code to collect a prize. it seemed to work out pretty good.

also, about the missing posts, they moved the site and lost about 4 hours of posts in the process. i'm pretty sure that wont happen again any time soon

I will contact you, so that you can tell me more about the songs of mine that you liked, so that I can get a more specific imagination of what kind of songs you would like to have for your level series. I'm playing on PS4 but as nerd_dog said before, its obviously no problem to transfer music via lockbox and prize bubbles.
